On October 22nd, our partners from INEGI, who oversee the Nextcell project’s Life Cycle Assessment, presented our project at the 26th SETAC Europe LCA Symposium that took place in Gothenburg, Sweden. In the context of the abstract “Leveraging on Digital Data Platform for Data Collection to Underpin Meaningful LCA,” they highlighted the role of SUNDIAL in addressing key challenges in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).

This presentation, which falls within the NEXTCELL project, focuses on enhancing data collection processes to improve the accuracy and efficiency of LCA, particularly for novel technologies like gellified cells for lithium-ion batteries (LiBs).

This event is jointly organised by the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) and the Swedish Life Cycle Center. It brings together the European life cycle community to discuss the latest research and applications of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). This year’s theme, “Making LCA Meaningful: Good Data, Better Models, Sustainable Decisions,” focused on improving life cycle inventory data, enhancing impact assessment models, and understanding the context in which LCA is applied for more informed decision-making.
